Getting Started
First-time visitor guide. What to expect on day one, what to bring, free assessment, and how to book your first PT.
Getting Started
You decided to come in. Here is exactly how day one works. No mystery, no upsell.
Before You Arrive
You do not need to book. Walk in any time between 06:00 and 22:00, seven days a week. If you want a guaranteed tour with a specific team member, message ahead on WhatsApp +66 97 945 5444 or Instagram @unrealgymbkk.
What to bring:
- Photo ID (passport or Thai ID)
- Training clothes
- Closed-toe training shoes (no flip flops, no sandals)
- Water bottle (optional, we sell bottles and have a vending machine)
- Hand wraps if you plan to try Muay Thai
We provide towels (large and small), and showers, soap, and hair dryer are stocked in the changing rooms.
The Walk-In
- Enter the iStore Building on Sukhumvit Soi 24.
- Take the lift to Floor 6.
- Reception is straight ahead. Tell the team it is your first visit.
The front desk team will:
- Sign you in and check your ID
- Walk you through the membership and day pass options
- Give you a tour of all three floors (10 to 15 minutes)
- Answer any questions about coaching, Reset Club, or the Posing Room
If you decide to train that day, you pay for a day pass (or buy a plan on the spot) and you are on the floor.
The Free Assessment
Every new member on a plan of 1 month or longer gets:
- One free InBody 570 scan. Body composition snapshot done in 60 seconds on Floor 7.
- A free orientation walk-through with a coach (not a sales pitch). They show you the equipment, how the floors flow, where everything lives.
If you want a structured first session with a coach, that is the start of a PT conversation. See below.
Booking Your First PT Session
If you want a coach, here is the process:
- Tell us your goal. Build muscle, get stronger, prep for stage, return after injury, drop body fat, learn the basics. One sentence is enough.
- Mention any injuries or limitations. Knees, back, shoulders, anything we should know.
- Pick a coach or let us match you. See the coaches page for who specialises in what. If you do not know, the front desk will pick for you based on your goal.
- First conversation is free. You meet your matched coach for 15 to 30 minutes. They assess, you ask questions. No commitment.
- Choose a plan. Committed (2 to 4 sessions per week for 8 to 24 weeks) or flexible (buy a block, use on your schedule).
Active coaching clients get day passes at 200 THB instead of 500.
What Day One Usually Looks Like
A normal first day for a new member:
- 06:30 to 09:00: Walk in, check in at reception (Floor 6).
- Tour: 10 to 15 minutes across all three floors.
- InBody scan: Floor 7. Takes 60 seconds. Read the print-out with a coach if one is on the floor.
- First session: Train on whichever floor matches your day (legs Floor 6, upper body Floor 7, Muay Thai or Reset Floor 8).
- Reset (optional): End with 30 to 90 minutes in the sauna and cold plunge on Floor 8. Shower first (mandatory).
- Front desk on the way out: Ask any follow-up questions, set up your first coached session if you want one.
You will not be pressured into a plan. You will not be sold supplements. We tell you what your options are and you decide when you are ready.
Common First-Visit Questions
Do I have to commit to a plan to come in? No. Day passes are 500 THB (UnReal Gym), 650 THB (+ Open Gym), or 950 THB (Unlimited). Use them as often as you want before committing.
What if I am a complete beginner? That is fine. Gus speaks Thai fluently and is patient with first-timers. Dennis and Vic both work well with beginners. Tell the front desk and they will match you.
Will the gym be intimidating? No. UnReal is a serious gym, but the floor culture is welcoming. People here are focused on their own work. Nobody is watching you. The rule "leave your ego outside" applies to everyone.
What if I want to try a Muay Thai class first? Buy an Unlimited day pass (950 THB) and walk in 10 minutes before class. Check the front desk or Instagram for the current timetable. We supply gloves and wraps if you do not have them.
Can I just come in, train, and leave? Yes. That is most of our members. Walk in, train, walk out. No check-in chat needed once you are signed up.
After Day One
If you decide UnReal is right for you, you have three paths:
- Walk-in day passes. Pay as you go. Best if your schedule is unpredictable.
- 10 Day Pass. 4,000 THB, valid 90 days. Best if you train 2 to 3 times a week.
- Monthly or longer. 4,800 THB for 1 month, 13,000 THB for 3 months, scaling down per month as you commit longer. Best value at 6 or 12 months.
