Gym rules
At UnReal Gym, we are trying our best to create an environment that is hardcore yet welcoming and not intimidating. We are about creating a respectful community of athletes.
Once you have agreed to be part of our community, we expect the following from you:
- Put back all weights that you have used; or otherwise you will get warned or kicked out. At UnReal Gym we are serious about building a responsible gym culture. No excuses, no exceptions.
- Leave your ego outside. Whether you are a pro or aspiring newcomer, we want everyone to respect each other’s gym space and each other. Be aspiring, not intimidating.
- No phone calls in the gym areas. If you can still make sense on the calls, it means you are not serious about your lifts. You may be occupying a space that others can use. Please pay attention, and use your phone elsewhere.
- Proper Shoes Only. No flip flops, slippers or sandals. This is for your own protection and for general public hygiene.
- Respect the equipment. Try your best to not slam weights. Not all machines are designed to add extra weight plates, especially cable machines. Wipe off your sweat if you are extra sweaty.
- Heavy deadlifts on platforms only. Don’t slam weights. This is out of respect for our neighbours downstairs. We do have specific powerlifting area rules posted around the powerlifting zones.
- Train Hard, Stay Discliplines, and Shatter Records.
Unfortunately not all of our members may be aware of our rules. To prevent the gym from becoming an unfriendly place for all, we have also implemented a 3-strike rule penalty system.
